Village residents will be able to learn about the benefits of solar power Thursday during a workshop at Tarrytown Village Hall. Solarize Westchester, an initiative partnered with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority under Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's NY-Sun initiative, has organized the workshop from 7-8:30 p.m. to allow a pre-selected contractor and others to present information on the power source and offer the necessary system equipment at a discounted rate up 15 percent, officials said.
