A Tarrytown police officer has filed a federal lawsuit against two other village cops alleging he was criminally prosecuted because of his race while transgressions by white officers were overlooked, according to LoHud.com. Officer Derrick Purdie's suit alleges he was repeatedly told to resign his position during a meeting with Chief Scott Brown in April, and if he refused to do so, he would be charged with felony criminal mischief for reportedly breaking the lock on the office door of Lt.
