Tarrytown's Y-Theater Stages 'Magic Tree House'

A part of Mary Pope Osborne's "Magic Tree House" book series is being brought to musical life Monday, Nov. 17, and Tuesday, Nov. 18, as the Tarrytown Y-Theater presents Washington Irving School students in a production of "The Magic Tree House: Dinosaurs Before Dark" in the school auditorium. Performances are scheduled for Monday at 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Directed by Peter Royston and produced by Barbara Turk, the cast, musicians, technicians, wardrobe artists and stage decorators moved through a raucous dress rehearsal Thursday afternoon, Nov. 13. Cast members gave life to trees, hatched as newborn babies and served as puppeteers for large dinosaurs that roamed the stage.
