In 1994 former Governor Mario Cuomo attended a press conference at Greenburgh Town Hall and lauded the town for its work in helping CIBA, a multi-national pharmaceuticals company, stay in town. Today, the 287 Corridor between Greenburgh and Tarrytown has been named one of the brightest in the country, according to Times Magazine, where the municipality was ranked 40th.
