Cited in manhole deaths, NY village won't appeal ruling

A suburban New York village isn't going to appeal a ruling that faulted it for not following regulations when a public works employee and a volunteer firefighter died in a manhole mishap. Tarrytown Village Administrator Michael Blau told the Journal News Friday the village won't pursue the case further after the recent appellate court ruling.
