State police patrolling the New York Thruway at 4 p.m. Jan. 9 stopped a vehicle driven by Jean Claude A. Mehu, 61, for numerous traffic law violations. It was determined that Mehu was impaired after he failed field sobriety tests and the Spring Valley resident was transported to State police barracks in Tarrytown for processing-where he refused a breath test.
