Tarrytown Man Reportedly Scammed Out Of $5,900

A Tarrytown man was the victim of a check cashing scam that promised a $1 million prize, but ultimately cost the man $5,900, according to Patch.com The victim received a letter in the mail instructing him to deposit a check into his bank account, withdraw the money, and send it to an address in Queens.
