The "surprise storm" that swept through the area Saturday afternoon and evening did not leave much in terms of accumulating snow, but slick road and icy conditions resulted in numerous vehicle crashes. Some slick spots will remain in the area Sunday before the temperature climbs to a high of around 40 under sunny skies.
