Tarrytown, which takes its place in local folklore very seriously, will host a Halloween parade on Oct. 29 led by none other than the "Headless Horseman" himself. The pumpkin-chucking phantasm was brought to life by Washington Irving in "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," a tale set in the late 1700s in a spooky and secluded glen near the Dutch settlement.
