An apparent attempt to cool off in the Hudson River turned into a near-death experience for two men on Friday, July 22, according to a report by News 12. The unidentified pair were on a yacht north of the Tappan Zee Bridge when they dove into the choppy waters and quickly became overwhelmed by waves and the current, News 12 reported. A member of the Westchester County Police's Marine Unit was warning folks to be aware of the river's tricky currents and to exercise caution.
