New York district schools score solar systems

Three Westchester County public school districts are poised to save thousands of dollars annually through a growing state-wide solar energy initiative. Somers Central School District, Tarrytown Union Free School District and White Plains Public Schools have signed agreements with SolarCity, the vendor chosen by the New York Power Authority, through a bid process to do K-Solar contracts in the region with eligible schools.
