Tarrytown's Lyndhurst to Receive Federal Grant

The renowned Gothic mansion Lyndhurst in Tarrytown is one of seven lower Hudson Valley historical sites in line to receive a portion of federal grants totaling $30,000, according to the office of Congresswoman Nita Lowey. The other sites to receive funding from the National Heritage Area Heritage Development Grants program are the City of Beacon, Wallkill River School, National Maritime Historical Society, Friends of John Jay Homestead, Mount Gulian Historic Site, and Palisades Park Conservancy, Inc. On Monday, April 27, the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and the Hudson River Valley Greenway are holding a press conference at Lyndhurst to announce the grants, which were secured with the help of Lowey and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.
