Tappan Zee update: No timetable for Tarrytown ramp closure

The giant crane that will help build the Tappan Zee Bridge pulled into the Port of New York and New Jersey on Thursday, completing its 6,000-mile voyage from California that began Dec. 22. The Left Coast Lifter, nicknamed the I Lift New York super crane by Tappan Zee project officials, will help put enormous deck sections into place.
